There are a variety of methods that can be used for earth poles. There are earthing studs, tangs, and plates that can be provided at the base of the pole in order to connect to the earth grid. If using Mid Hinged Poles, G&S Industries also provides a braided copper earthing strap that is bolted across the hinge point. This will facilitate the current to flow quickly from the top section(s) to the base section(s) of the pole.

All of these items, together with the G&S Industries Lightning Arrestors, help to pass the electrical current down the pole and into the earth grid as safely as possible, thus protecting the equipment mounted on the pole.
